The Macromedia Flash Player is a widely used multimedia and application player created and distributed by Macromedia, which is a division of Adobe. It was originally designed for displaying 2 dimensional animations, but is commonly used for rich internet applications.
Many browsers are shipped with the Flash Player and it is available as a plug in for many popular browsers like Internet Explorer and Firefox, as a plug in. For Internet Explorer, the shock wave flash object can be enabled or disabled through the add-on option in the tool bar. It may create errors, which cause Internet Explorer problems.
